How we review brokers

The checks behind every table on this site, and what we deliberately leave out.

What we check for each broker

A broker enters the comparison table only if we can confirm its signal setup from a source we can link to. For each one we record:

  1. Signal source. Who produces the signals, such as Trading Central or Autochartist.
  2. Where they appear. A panel in the broker's own app, a MetaTrader plug-in, or a client-area tool.
  3. Cost, as stated. What the broker says about price. If it says nothing on the pages we read, we write that.
  4. Regulation to check. The entity or regulator named on the broker's own pages. This is a pointer for your own verification, not a safety rating.

How sources are used

  • Primary sources first: the broker's own signals, platform, legal and risk-warning pages.
  • Trade press and review sites for context and for facts a broker doesn't publish, such as when a partnership was announced. We say when a source is older.
  • Provider pages (Trading Central, Autochartist) for what the tools do.

Order and presentation

Brokers in tables are listed alphabetically, and each gets the same set of columns and the same kind of link. The order says nothing about quality. We don't produce a ranking or a score, because a single number would hide the things that matter most: your country, your platform and your costs.

What we leave out

If a broker's signal feature is mentioned in the press but we can't confirm it at the source, it stays out until we can. That isn't a judgement on the broker.

Update log

  • 21 October 2026. Added a "Best for, skip if" block and a data-checked line to the comparison table. Removed an unsourced price range from the signals explainer. Added a spread worked example to the cost page and a support-questions checklist to the choosing guide.
  • Launch. First version of the site, built from broker, provider and trade-press pages.

Keeping it current

Every page shows the date it was last reviewed. Broker terms, platforms and regulators change, so use the broker's own pages as the final word before you open an account.
